Altered Lampshade

Here are a couple of views of a lamp I altered for my baby neice. I purchased the lamp base because I just loved the cream-colored rubbed finish on it. I discarded the lampshade that came with it (it was a not-pretty plaid design) and instead used a plain white shade that I had purchased at a craft store. I painted the shade pink and green with a touch of metallic and I just love how it turned out. I also love the cream-colored trim that I used to give it a finished look.
